Privacy Policy

RoutineKeeper is built to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain English, what data exists, where it lives, and what we do (and don't do) with it.

The short version

• Your routines, habits, and stats live on your device.
• If you sign in with Apple, an encrypted backup of that data is stored on our servers so you can restore it on a new phone.
• We show no ads, use no third-party tracking or analytics, and never sell data. The subscription is the business model.

What we collect, and when

Without an account: nothing. The app works fully offline; your data stays in the app's local storage on your device and we cannot see it.

If you sign in with Apple: we receive an anonymous Apple identifier, and — only if you choose to share it — your email address. Signing in enables cloud backup, which stores a copy of your routines, habits, stats, and settings on our servers (hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure) so they can be restored when you sign in on another device.

If you subscribe: the purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Subscription status reaches the app through Apple's own systems.

What we never do

• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of your data with data brokers.
• No reading of your routine content for any purpose other than storing and returning your backup.

Where data is stored and how it's protected

Local data is stored in the app's private storage on your device. Backup data is stored on Cloudflare's network and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sessions are protected with signed tokens; we deliberately support only Sign in with Apple, so there is no password for anyone to steal.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes all local data. If you signed in with Apple, open Settings inside the app and tap Delete Account — this immediately and permanently removes your account and backup from our servers. If you never signed in, there is nothing on our servers to delete.

Children

RoutineKeeper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date, and note the change in the app's release notes.
